Back by popular Demand, Live Fire being offered again on July 14th. Your donation dollar helps to fund this class for all ages!
The “Adulting” program at The Boiler Room was born after it was discovered that none of the volunteers knew how to shut off the water to the toilet as it overflowed. Somehow none of them had been in the situation to know how to deal with what was really a very minor plumbing emergency-which turned it into a much bigger emergency.
“I think a workshop on credit, what it is, how it’s used and why you may or may not want it would be great. Coupled with that would be thinking about retirement when you are young. I wish they taught those things in school and they don’t.”
“How to do ANYTHING at the courthouse! I didn’t know I needed to get a title for my car and when I found out, I didn’t know how to do it. And the courthouse is scary!”

Certified Instructor Jordan Pollock will give a short presentation on fire safety, fire extinguishers, and other things related to fire. AND THEN he will light things on fire in the back yard and every single class participant will have an opportunity to use the fire extinguisher to put out the fire, getting helpful feedback from Jordan. If you’ve never used a fire extinguisher before, this is a great opportunity to do so BEFORE there’s an emergency!
The Boiler Room is looking for both more topics and more presenters. If there’s something that you know and want to share, no matter how “simple” it seems, please contact Amy at boilerroomed@gmail.com.
