UGN is pleased to announce a new addition to our staff! Emily Henry has joined the UGN/Get Connected Jefferson team as the Volunteer Initiatives Coordinator.  She is now your go-to-person for Get Connected Jefferson.  Emily will be connecting with each of our partner organizations to help you complete your organization profiles and list your volunteer and event opportunities.  Emily will also promote Get Connected to local community members and businesses and will share your volunteer needs via Get Connected Jefferson’s Facebook page.  And finally, Emily will coordinate UGN’s Day of Caring in September.  If you have questions about Get Connected Jefferson or need assistance getting the most out of your Get Connected Profile, please connect with Emily at getconnectedjc@weareugn.org
More about Emily:
A true local, Emily was born and raised in Port Townsend. After graduating from Western Washington University in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in French and English, Emily continued her education by enrolling in the WSU FIELD Program here in Jefferson County. Having developed her farming skills and agricultural knowledge, Emily left for Senegal, West Africa, to be an Agroforestry volunteer with the United States Peace Corps. Upon returning to the United States last year, Emily worked at the Chimacum Corner Farm Stand, where she got to be a part of a team focused on selling local products from the community’s farmers and small businesses. Now, she is extremely excited to be involved with Get Connected Jefferson. Emily is passionate about helping our community nonprofits pair up with motivated and capable volunteers
